Why is Learning English Important?

        Mostly of us must have been known or heard of English. English is the most common and universal language in the world. There are so many people that use English as their daily language. But why do we need to learn English, even though it's not our daily language? Isn't Indonesian language just enough? Well, here are some explaining about why learning English is important.

        English is the second most used language (after Mandarin) in the world. There are more than 50 countries around the world that use English as their national language. Not to mention the amount of people who used English as their daily language, or people who are able to speak English but it's not their daily language, we can tell that the amount of user of this language is very large.

         If you are travelling around the world, English can help you to communicate and make friends with people from other countries. It is a universal language so usually mostly people around the world can speak English. It will be very helfpful if, for example, you want to ask about the direction, about food, ask about the nearest train station, etc.
   
        English is also important if you apply a job to a company. Usually they have an English test first. It is to know your ability in English. The company usually prefer a person who is good at English because in this age people with high English ability are very needed. If you have to make a relationship with foreign companies or work abroad, you're ready.  It is also very helpful if you're planning to study abroad.

       English is a scientific language. It is used a lot in Science and Technology. For example, all the newest gadgets and technological stuffs used English as the working language. Also, in Science there are so many names in English. If we want to mastered both, it is good if we mastered English first.

      So, the conclusion is English is important. It helps us to communicate with people around the world, helps us to find a job, helps us to make friends with people from other countries, helps us in learning Science and Technology, helps us when we travel abroad, etc. There are so many benefits of learning English. So don't be lazy to study English from now for your own good, okay?
